Dr. Patel received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2007, graduating from the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences (India). Dr. Patel received his NDEB equivalency in 2015, after completing the courses he received his Dental Licence in Canada in 2016. Since completing his licensing for Dental Implants Dr.Patel has been working with Dr. Raja Sandhu on full mouth restorations. Observing advanced techniques such as the Trefoil System. Dr. Patel strongly believes in patient comfort, and also provides Dental Sedation for any patients who may have any nerves about dental work.
Dr. Patel takes pride in his warm and professional chair-side manner and is excited to discuss any questions you may have. He also tries to be available to his patients 24/7.
When not in the office Dr. Patel loves to spend time with his family. He married the love of his life Smrutika in 2012 and welcomed a son Aarav in 2014. He can also be found working at Dentistry@Perth and Dentistry@Winchester.
Professional Milestones:
Dr. Thaker grew up in Ahmedabad City, India. He completed his dental schooling at Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College & Hospital, receiving his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2012. After graduating Dr. Thaker ran his own dental practice for 5 years during this period he also completed an implantology course and became I.C.O.I. certified. In 2018 he moved to Canada and fulfilled his dental equivalency process to become a licensed dentist in Canada in 2024.
He is passionate about providing the best dental care to his patients and having a profession that allows him to help people turn their pain into a smile is what Dr.Thaker loves most about dentistry. Dr. Thaker has served at over 50 free dental checkup camps in small villages and organized over 10 free dental checkups in schools.
In the future, Dr. Thaker looks forward to expanding his knowledge and working towards new certifications within the dental field.
When not in the office you can find Dr.Thaker spending time with his family, exploring nature, and playing cricket.
Originally from India, Vikas Chopra practiced dentistry for over 10 years serving the army and conducting outreach programs providing oral care to the underserved communities. He truly enjoys all aspects of dentistry and working with patients of all ages. Upon transitioning to Canada, he completed the Denturism Advanced Diploma program at George Brown College where has was on the Dean’s Honour Roll list for multiple semesters. His methodical approach, disciplined attitude and patient demeanour aid in establishing trust and long-lasting relationships with each of his patients. He always strives to provide service and care at the highest level.
When not working and studying to sharpen his skills, Vikas can be found playing all types of racquet games namely squash in the local league and tennis granted the weather permits it. He also enjoys ice skating with his daughters, going on road trips across North America and hiking along trails with his family.
