Dr. Hemal Patel - B.D.S.
Dr. Hemal Patel earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences in India in 2007. Before coming to Canada, he served as a dental lecturer and helped train more than 300 dentists over a three-year period. He completed his NDEB equivalency in 2015 and was licensed to practise dentistry in Ontario in 2016.
Dr. Patel has pursued advanced training in implant dentistry and continues to expand his education in the field.
His practice places particular emphasis on 3D imaging and guided implant surgery. Dr. Patel takes and interprets CBCT scans in-office, providing patients with a detailed report of their findings. Using that imaging to plan treatment digitally, he can perform guided surgery — an approach designed to minimize surgical trauma and support more predictable healing and outcomes.
Patient comfort is central to how Dr. Patel practises. He takes the time to walk each patient through their diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect at every stage, so that no one sits in the chair uncertain about what comes next. For patients who feel anxious about dental treatment, he also offers dental sedation. His warm chairside manner reflects a simple belief: an informed patient is a comfortable patient.
Outside the office, Dr. Patel's time belongs to his family. He married his wife, Smrutika, in 2012, and together they are raising two sons — Aarav and Kayan. He also practises at Dentistry@Perth and Dentistry@Winchester.
